If we add an additional cost of 1,5 € / m² without the work required for the insulation of the roof, finally the cost for creating the flows will reach 5,4 € / m². ADDRESSING THE PROBLEM ABOVE CAN BE DONE WITH THE FOLLOWING STEPS.
- Define that the ceiling is empty of not (YOU JUST HAVE TO TAP AND YOU WILL FIND OUT).
- AFTER HAVING NOTED THAT THE CEILING IS EMPTY, WE SHOULD RIP THE PLASTERS, TO SCRAPE AND COAT THE IRONS WITH MINIUM.
- WE APPLY A LAYER OF CEMENT-LIKE SEALANT.
- WE DAUB THE PLATE AGAIN.
CAUTION: USUALLY IN OLD BUILDINGS THAT ARE MADE MAINLY BEFORE 1980 AND WHERE THERE HAS NOT BEEN A GOOD MAINTENANCE OF THE BUILDING (THERE IS NO INSULATION) WATER FROM RAIN, AS TIME PASSES, PASSES THROUGH THE PLATE OF THE TERRACE AND CAUSE SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE BUILDING MATERIALS OF THE CEILING. THAT IS TO SAY, IF THE WATER HAS ALREADY PASSED THROUGH, THE OXIDATION – CORROSION OF THE CONCRETE RODS HAS ALREADY STARTED. SO AS TIME PASSES, THIS WILL RESULT AT DETACHING OF THE PLASTERS FROM THE CEILING AND THEY WILL FALL. FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY WE RECOMMEND YOU TO PROCEED IN AN OPTIONAL CONTROL OF YOUR CEILING PLASTERS, TO CHECK THAT THEY ARE NOT EMPTY. IF THE CORROSION HAS STARTED, NO TYPE OF ROOF INSULATION CAN GUARANTEE THAT THE PLASTERS WILL NOT PEEL OFF AND FALL, SINCE WATER HAS ALREADY PASSED THROUGH AND DAMAGE HAS BEEN CAUSED.
